RICHARD SARFO GYASI

Abstract

The manifestation of poverty is a daily reality for hundreds of millions of families throughout the developing world. The source of their income, which is often seasonal and inadequate, is mainly derived from subsistence farming. This implies that in Ghana where majority of the people are in the rural areas, parents will not find it easy to finance their children’s education. This study thus, draw the attention of government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), education officers, parents and stakeholders in education, the District Assemblies and unit committees to provide all the necessary facilities and conditions to ensure the enhancement of children’s enrolment in the second cycle institutions especially in the Kintampo District of Brong Ahafo Region in Ghana
