New data has unveiled that Tom Holland, famed for his portrayal of Spider-Man, is the highest-earning British action movie star on Instagram. According to a recent study by KingCasinoBonus, Holland has the potential to earn up to £67,298 per sponsored post on the platform.
The study, which analysed the Instagram profiles of action movie stars from the past 25 years, utilised an influencer marketing calculator to estimate each actor’s earnings from social media endorsements. The results highlight the lucrative nature of social media influence for these stars.
Tom Holland, with a significant following of 65 million and a high engagement rate of 4.27%, is placed fourth on the overall list of highest-earning action stars. His substantial earning potential underscores his value to brands seeking to capitalise on his popularity in the UK.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson leads the list with an impressive potential earning of £182,476 per post. Known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise and other action blockbusters, Johnson’s vast 395 million followers and average engagement rate of 0.05% make him a highly sought-after figure for sponsored content. His focus on promoting his own ventures, including his skincare range Papatui and tequila brand Teremana, has earned him the nickname ‘Dwayne “the Ad” Johnson’.
Zendaya, who gained widespread recognition from her role in the Dune series, follows in second place. She commands potential earnings of £153,520 per post, driven by her 182 million followers and engaging content that includes both personal updates and professional highlights. Her ability to keep her audience engaged has contributed to her impressive social media earning potential.
Megan Fox, despite recently deleting her Instagram posts, ranks third with potential earnings of £70,034 per post. With over 21 million followers, her earning power remains significant, highlighting the enduring appeal of her social media presence.
In fifth place is Gal Gadot, known for her role in Wonder Woman. Gadot’s 108 million followers and potential earning of £61,028 per post place her significantly above the average earnings for action stars, which is £17,313 per post.
The study also highlights rising stars in the social media arena. Florence Pugh, with 9 million followers and a potential earning of £14,440 per post, demonstrates the high value of engagement despite a smaller follower base. Similarly, Timothée Chalamet’s 19 million followers and potential earnings of £27,094 per post indicate his growing influence in the action genre.
Conversely, some notable action stars, such as Dylan O’Brien and Shia LaBeouf, have lower earning potentials due to smaller follower counts. O’Brien earns £644.34 per post with 48.5k followers, while LaBeouf’s earnings stand at £794.20 per post with a relatively modest follower count.
KingCasinoBonus’s spokesperson noted, “This data underscores the importance of both follower count and engagement rate in determining social media earning potential. Stars like The Rock and Zendaya could potentially build substantial careers from their Instagram accounts alone, reflecting their influence and marketability in today’s digital landscape.”
The findings offer a glimpse into how social media has become a significant revenue stream for action movie stars, alongside their traditional acting roles.
