IN4 Group has made a significant impact on the UK’s tech industry, delivering over £44 million in social and economic value over the past three years. The company’s programmes have helped more than 3,000 people from diverse backgrounds gain access to careers in the tech sector.
Headquartered in MediaCity, Salford, IN4 Group has grown rapidly, generating £25.3 million in social impact in 2024 alone. Its innovative approach to providing local people and organisations with access to future-ready digital skills has seen the business expand across the UK and into the Middle East.
According to the Social Impact Report from Social Value Business and the Social Value Quality Mark CIC (SVQM), IN4 Group has achieved a social return on investment (SROI) of £3.98 for every £1 invested in its programmes. This brings the total social impact generated on behalf of its stakeholders in 2024 to £20.3 million, a 77% increase from the previous year.
The company’s social value outcomes cover six key areas: employment and volunteering (£9.6 million), education and skills (£6.5 million), economic (£4.5 million), health and wellbeing (£2.3 million), social and community (£1.7 million), and crime and justice (£708,000).
IN4 Group’s diverse participant base highlights its commitment to inclusion, with 59% of participants in 2023-2024 being female and 37% from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The social impact has been achieved through initiatives such as IN4 Group’s Skills City, one of the largest professional technology training operations in the UK. Other major initiatives include CyberFirst North West and West Midlands, an initiative delivered on behalf of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and fully funded programmes such as FreelanceHER 100, Gametech365 @HOST, Stockport Creative Campus, and the Creative Solutions Programme for Saudi Aramco.
