A luxury oceanfront resort in Florida has announced a partnership with telecoms provider Dense Air to improve mobile connectivity across its property, ensuring guests have seamless access to cellular service during their stay.
The Singer Oceanfront Resort, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton and owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, will benefit from Dense Air’s small cell neutral host solution. The technology will extend and strengthen mobile coverage across key areas of the resort, including the restaurant, bar, pool, and beach.
The initiative aims to meet the growing expectation for uninterrupted mobile connectivity, particularly among travellers who rely on their devices for both leisure and work.
Padmanabh Yardi, Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Host Hotels & Resorts, said the move aligns with the company’s broader strategy to integrate advanced technology into its properties:
“At Host Hotels & Resorts, we are committed to staying at the forefront of innovation and technology to enhance guest experiences across our properties. We are excited to implement this solution that will allow us to deliver a seamless cellular connectivity experience that meets the evolving needs of today’s travellers.”
Reliable coverage across the resort
The Singer Oceanfront Resort, which is managed by Davidson Hospitality Group, has recognised the increasing demand for uninterrupted mobile service, particularly in outdoor areas such as the beach and poolside.
Stuart Levy, General Manager of the resort, emphasised the importance of the upgrade:
“Our guests expect seamless connectivity wherever they are on the property, whether they’re enjoying a meal, relaxing by the pool or walking on the beach. By working with Dense Air, we can ensure our guests are connected effortlessly throughout their stay, improving their overall experience and satisfaction.”
The solution provided by Dense Air is a small cell, multi-carrier system designed to enhance coverage by using existing infrastructure while deploying targeted network improvements. The approach ensures a cost-effective and efficient rollout with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Jim Estes, CEO of Dense Air Networks, highlighted the necessity of strong mobile connectivity in the hospitality industry:
“Seamless high-quality connectivity is no longer a luxury – it’s a necessity. We are proud to work with Host Hotels & Resorts, Davidson Hospitality Group, and The Singer Oceanfront Resort to deliver a reliable, high-performance network that enhances the guest experience and supports the resort’s operational needs.”
Technology improving guest experience
Dense Air’s system is expected to provide a more consistent and reliable connection for guests, reducing network congestion and improving service quality in high-demand areas. The move reflects a broader trend in the hospitality sector, where hotels and resorts are investing in technological enhancements to cater to modern travellers who expect uninterrupted connectivity.
With this upgrade, The Singer Oceanfront Resort aims to provide guests with a seamless digital experience, ensuring they can stay connected whether they are lounging by the pool, dining at the restaurant, or walking along the beach.
